Day 20 “Do You Have Vision”
Genesis 13; Proverbs 29:18 KJV; Psalms 65:11
After arguments between Lot’s herdsmen and Abram’s herdsmen, they decided to separate ways. Lot took the ground that looked good in the natural, but it came with its own problems. God told Abraham to lift up his eyes and look to the North, South, to the East and West, that whatever he could see, God would give him.
The Bible says in Proverbs, “Where there is no vision my people perish.“
Abram had to lift up his eyes from his circumstances. You might find yourself in a place where what other people have in the natural looks so good, and your circumstances looks so dark, so stressful, and so painful. God is saying, “Take your eyes off of other people. Take your eyes off of your circumstances and look to the North, South, East and West.”
If we don’t have vision for it, we cannot receive it. We have to see our children healed. We have to see that new job or business. We have to see that new baby or our marriage restored in the supernatural before it can manifest itself in the natural.
Take some time in prayer. Look at every aspect of your life —mental and physical health, finances/career, relationships, ministry, etc. Start seeing the changes that you want God to do in each area for 2019.
In Psalm 65:11, the Bible says that God has crowned 2019 with His goodness and His paths drip with abundance. Believe that God wants to give you a good year and the prayerful changes that you want to see in 2019 are already dripping with abundance. Do not look at what others have. Do not look at your circumstances but look up and see Jesus. See the changes that you want in the Spirit. Only compare yourself with who you were yesterday and believe that 2019 is crowned with His goodness and His paths are dripping, with not just what you need, but with His never-ending abundance.
