“NEXT” January 11
Day 5 “No More Back and Forth Let’s Begin the Process!”
Let me return for a moment to what Paul says about being a new creation and having a second life. He says the old is gone the new has come. The Greek structure of his statement has a double meaning. It means we are new life creatures immediately at our salvation and our old life has gone. It also means that a process has begun where we begin to live and learn our new life and where our old life is going away.
So as believers it’s time to lean into the 2nd life, and leave the 1st life. It’s time to commit to the process of new life until it is complete and becomes our eternal life. Why? Well because this is resurrection life! This is a life governed and overseen by heaven! This is the freedom you long for! This is the open door to destinies and dreams beyond our imagination! This is Jesus himself leading us into “The Way”, The Truth”, and “The Life” that God created us for.
This is God and His gift to us, for God’s sake! GOD! JESUS! HOLY SPIRIT! NEW LIFE, ETERNAL LIFE!
Christianity in it’s truest form throughout the ages has lined up and heard this message and left everything from the old way of life to live a new spiritual life and even die for Christ and we have to think about this? No more thought! The time is short! The time is now!
It’s time to learn this and live this thing called the Christ life. Its time for a new way of thinking! Paul says in Romans 12:1-2:
Brothers and sisters, what should our proper response be to God’s salvation, His amazing gift of a life with Him? Surrender the 1st life and live lives set apart for Him. Give Him your 1st life as a sacrifice and join Him in the new life He has for you in this next season.
Do not live any longer according to the principles and ideals of the culture and the world you live in. Instead begin the process of being inwardly transformed by a work of the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will give you the power and ability to know God’s amazing plan for you and your life.
Thought: Read Jeremiah 6:16 and decide the way you will go.
