What empowered Moses to stand before Pharaoh and courageously declare, “Let my people go?” One encounter with a burning bush and Moses was forever changed. Not only was Moses ruined for God, but this personal visitation was what emblazoned Moses to become the deliverer of a nation. Do you want to see God change and heal your city?
The common question I hear across America is, how do we bring in a revival? How do we bring heaven to earth? I believe that one key to city healing and transformation is personal healing and visitation.
For God to move our city, we must first have radical visitations ourselves. If we want to usher in a major move of God, we must first and foremost have an encounter with God ourselves. There is a misconception and lie in the church that visitations are just for personal purposes or don’t exist at all. But God does give us visitations and encounters for a reason.
If we examine Scripture, we will see how most of our forefathers in the faith had a personal encounter with God, which launched them into their destiny so that they could change the course of Biblical history. The result of these hallmark encounters were not just that they themselves were touched, but also that God’s people were radically blessed and healed. We cannot divorce city transformation from personal encounter with God. If we want healing and revival for our land we must cry out for healing and radical encounters with Jesus for ourselves.
