“NEXT” January 9
Day 3 “A New Approach”
The New Year and 2019 is here so let’s get locked in on “new”. Let me ask you the most important question you will be asked entering into 2019. Please do not dismiss this question or brush over it due to your length of years in the faith or because of anything from your past with God before now.
Here it is: Are you saved? Have you had a genuine salvation experience where you were saved from your first origin of birth life and flesh and blood and given the gift of a second life, which is a spiritual life with Jesus Christ?
If you answered no then ask Him to save you now and then continue reading. If you answered yes then there is one more question. Do you need to be saved from where you are now?
In other words, are you currently living from a first-life model and a cultural worldview or are you living from second-life and a kingdom of God worldview? If you are in a first-life place then you need saving, rescuing, being delivered in order to see and enter into God’s “Next” for you.
Let me show you. In John 3 Jesus speaks something new to Nicodemus that was hard to understand from his earthly worldview. He said unless you have been “born from above’, “born again” and now have second-life, and have been saved from your first life you cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3:3) He then adds that you cannot enter into a kingdom life except by a Spirit life or a second life approach. (John 3:5).
“Next” is the offer of kingdom life on earth with God’s Spirit and heaven governing and overriding, and being released and living in a place of being immersed in Jesus and the “God Life”.
So again I ask: Do you need to be saved from anything that would keep you from seeing or entering God’s kingdom life for you in this next season?
Thought: A new approach to prepare for the “Next” would be to see your life as a spiritual being having a temporary human experience rather than a human being having a spiritual experience.
