So, we come out of this year’s 21 day fast and move forward into places of healing and wholeness. In order to secure and lay hold of wholeness and healing, we must follow the way of Jesus. John 10:10 says that the enemy comes only to kill and steal and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and life in all its fullness.
The key here is the word “may”. Satan assertively and definitively and continuously comes at us to wreak havoc on us. That is a fact. We cannot change that. However, we “may” choose Jesus each day because He came so that we would have life and fullness – wholeness and healing. Jesus is the key and choosing Him every day will bring healing.
How? By applying Matthew 6:33 to our real-time lives, which tells us to seek 1st the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (or a life of faith and applying spiritual principles from the Word) and all things will be added to our lives. Healing and wholeness included.
- 1st and/or our best time each day coming expectantly to Jesus in prayer and the Word.
- 1st of our finances in giving generously and willingly to the tithe and offering to God all year long.
- 1st place becomes serving God and others and not always being served. Hence, I am a giver not a consumer.
- 1st of our priorities is saying yes to a commitment to spiritual community i.e. church and serving God in that context.
- 1st place in our lives is always salvation and a faith relationship with Jesus Christ trusting Him and honoring Him in all I do.
As we go from here, we choose the “may”. Jesus came so that we “may” live in this Kingdom paradigm and if we choose “yes” we will be healed again and again until we are made perfectly healed and whole in Him.
WORDS of PROMISE
He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
He determines the number of the stars
and calls them each by name.
Great is our Lord and mighty in power;
his understanding has no limit.
The Lord sustains the humble
but casts the wicked to the ground.
The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises
and faithful in all he does.
The Lord upholds all who fall
and lifts up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food at the proper time.
You open your hand
and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and faithful in all he does.
The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
He fulfills the desires of those who fear him
he hears their cry and saves them.
The Lord watches over all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.
Blessed are those who fear the Lord,
who find great delight in his commands.
Their children will be mighty in the land;
the generation of the upright will be blessed. –Psalm 147
Afflicted city, lashed by storms and not comforted,
I will rebuild you with stones of turquoise, your foundations with sapphires, your gates of sparkling jewels… All your children will be taught by the Lord and great will be their peace. In righteousness, you will be established. –Isaiah 54:11
A bruised He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out. In faithfulness, He will bring forth justice; He will not falter or be discouraged till He establishes justice in the earth. –Isaiah 42:3-4
I will make rivers flow on barren heights…I will turn the desert into pools of water and parched ground into springs. –Isaiah 40:18
